I’m also sharing a cintiq with my sis, but she’s using and won’t get off, so no pict this time >8D It’s also my mum’s birthday today so we had cake! Yum! (btw the mosquito racquet is given the name, “The Slayer” because it has faithfully served its purpose and shed blood of countless mosquitoes. All hail The Slayer!)
My workspace is clean, doesn’t iiit 8DDD
YOU JUST DROPPED A BOMB but hm, they’re pretty much people I’ve linked here; http://fav.me/d32cb9w!
Alice58/pixiv 809533 and FoE have the biggest influence in my stress relief works, I think. I really admire how much detail they put in their illustrations, no matter how random they seem. In fact, they’re so impressive, I got addicted drawing them, hee.
Ishikawa Fumi is my biggest aspiration even to this day; it’s because I was overwhelmed by how versatile she is that I wanted to become a versatile artist myself. Lifetime goal: to be able to draw anything on the face of this planet!! Environment art aside, anyway….
I really like the cutesy style that Kindergarten21 + Kaze no Sanagi + Keegy have. They’re… idk, endearing? So anyway, I was really enchanted by their subject matters rofl. I suppose it was because I was exposed to these sort of thing that I grew to like cutesy/stylistic artworks. I got to know these guys in 2004~2006 ish. Their artworks seemed to really sparkle in the eyes of wee me, and so it kinda stuck I guess LOL
Hikoukiroku showed me the beauty of soft, fluffy hair. I have a soft hair fetish ever since the first time I saw her suikoden fanarts LMAO
Tea Time/Miyuu(Chrome Shelled Regios) was the first person to inspire me in drawing original fantasy artworks. Her originals are mostly steam-punk- fantasy-ish, and so that’s what I pursued back then. Anyway her dudes are hot and so the drive to be able to draw like her was what made me want to draw dudes l o l (except K21, Keegy and others kinda pushed me back to drawing girls 90% of the time erm;;)
Nowadays, I’ve expanded my horizon a bit and included shounen-shoujos@tumblr amongst other people, but otherwise, I’ve stucked to my roots 90& of the time. My childhood has impacted me the most, after all….
I GOT TOO CARRIED AWAY but guuh, I just love this colour palette ok ;v;
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t! I usually listen to easy listening anime songs, or instrumental. Something that runs in the background and isn’t noisy to work with. Last Window:the Secret of Cape West’s soundtrack is my current favourite, but I tend to go back to Hanakisou’s OST from time to time. I really like Hanakisou’s Kuroto track rofl.
Artist asks GO!
